Why exports and third-party backups are not the same as business continuity.
Backup is an overloaded word.
For some teams it means a spreadsheet export. For others it means a third-party snapshot. For auditors it may mean something else entirely: a reliable evidentiary trail that can be explained later.
Continuity asks a harder question.
If the platform is unavailable, the account is suspended, the integration breaks, or the vendor changes its API, what survives?
